We brought Rosebud with us halfway across the country, from Nebraska to San Diego! She did a very good job throughout it! Maybe stayed a little calmer than us…😊
Disc Dog is a dog sport that you and your dog are out on a field. You throw frisbees and the point is for the dog to catch the frisbe while still in the air. You also learn to do tricks with your dog and the frisbee. Some people have the dog catapult off of their knee and then catch the frisbee. Another one is that you hold the frisbee in the air and the dog stands on his/her hind feet while turning in a circle.
There are frisbees made especially for the sport. You are going to want to order some discs from a disc dog website so that you and your dog will be safe even when throwing a disc for your dog. I was using just regular hard plastic frisbees. Then I bought some Competition Standard Hyperflite discs from Amazon and you will be amazed by the difference of quality and materials! This is the disc that I was talking about up there.
These discs are very pliable and a hard material, yet softer than the other regular discs.
Rosebud and Cleopatra
Last year at this time, supposedly we had more snow, but I don’t think that it was this cold!!! Right now it is -11 real feel. WAY TOO COLD!!! And I will probably end up taking Rosebud out to the bathroom. Brrrrr! Anyway, flurries are coming down, and this is unpredicted snow, it is slowly accumulating. We want the snow but not the cold. We can’t even play outside because it is way to cold (-11)! Rosebud is going to have to get her energy out some other way, because I am not staying out there with her, and she is not staying out there either. Yep, just checked the radar map, this is TOTALLY unpredicted snow. Not that I am complaining, I want tons and tons of snow. So deep it is AT LEAST up to my knee’s! Rosebud would be pretty much so buried, not her head maybe, but she is like a little taller than my knee’s.
Dear Dog Lovers,
The other day we were in Office Max to get some office supplies and I found this product called a D-Link. You can hook it up to your Ethernet or wireless internet and then you download an app, put the D-Link where you want to watch your pet or baby, and you can watch them and see what they are doing when you are gone!
Here is a picture of it:
Pretty simple to set up, it took a little bit, but now we can use it. Granted, Rosebud is in her kennel whenever we are gone, but we will get to see what she does in there! Here is the website: www.mydlink.com. You can purchase them at stores like Office Max and Best Buy.
