Sunday was Rosebud’s first Easter with us. We got her exactly one year ago today. It is our one year anniversary with her. We are excited that we have come this far with raising a puppy and how great she is doing in training class and just how great she is altogether. Yes, even when she is ornery!
She gives us all the things that we wanted in a dog and tons more. She has the gentle disposition of a golden, the soft fur, the gentle dark brown eyes, the slobbery kisses, the playfulness of a puppy, her love for the outdoors (just like us!), and she is our friend. When you have a dog, they are usually always there for you, when you are happy, sad, or even mad, they are there to comfort you. I am very thankful to have her. Even when we get upset with her for being ornery or when she ignores our commands!
It is time for us to restock her toy box with some new toys, (it is already overflowing!) so maybe we will throw away some of her older ones and get her some newer ones. Yesterday after training, we went and got dog food. Then we chose three new toys: A little orange octopus who we named Ollie Octopus!, A ChuckIt Kick Fetch where you kick it, it is so funny to watch her get it into her mouth!, and a little blue spiny ball that Mandy, our trainer, always had at training class and Rosebud loved it so we bought her one. Then later in the afternoon we went back to practice with Mandy’s dog for a few minutes and I bought her a little pink sun hat and a double roast bone tug of war toy.
Here is a picture of her with her double roast bone tug of war toy and her little pick sun hat!
